Michael Stewart’s debut novel, King Crow, was published in January 2011 by Bluemoose Books. It is the winner of the Guardian’s Not-the-Booker Award and has been selected as a recommended read for World Book Night. He is also the author of Couples, a book of poetry, described by Ian McMillan as “inspired” and “ingenious”; Café Assassin (novel) and an acclaimed short story collection, Mr Jolly.. He has written short fiction for Riptide, Brand Literary Magazine, Galley Beggar, Tears in the Fence, The Reader Magazine and Route Books. He has also published journal articles about short story theory. His new novel, Ill Will, is published by HarperCollins in March 2018.
